Stress and the Vagus Nerve

Your vagus nerve is the main component of the parasympathetic nervous system. It is in charge of rest, digest and social engagement so in theory we should have an awakened vagus system. But do we?

Dr. Alyssa Runyon

Dr. Alyssa (pronounced Ah-lee-sha) graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and started practising just north of Toronto, Canada. After being out in practice she noticed that patients experiencing chronic stress did not heal as well as others not experiencing stress.
This led to a four-year deep dive into the clinical research on stress, the autonomic nervous system, genetics, epigenetics, and longevity.
She works full-time out of her multidisciplinary practice treating patients with traditional chiropractic and acupuncture treatments. Additionally has developed her signature Vagus Nerve Treatment that has been proven to activate the vagus nerves and support the nervous system shift her patients need to finally heal.
Last year she launched a 12-week online program that teaches people how to shift their focus from pain to the root cause inside their nervous system so that they can get back to moving pain-free. Program members have already experienced dramatic shifts in their health!
